I’m living on East 2nd Street this year, right next to CBGBs. So, right outside my window there is a little alleyway. The back door to CBGBs opens out into this alley. Every time there is an event at CBGBs, there is a little crowd outside my window partying it up. But that is not the best part… There is a construction site right next door. Apparently they are pounding something into the group today. Since about 8am, they have been pounding away with a crazy looking thing. Everytime they pound something, the entire floor shakes… It is a little weird.
But the upside, no bunked beds in my room. And to protect us from the people in the alley, we’ve got a chain-link fence, our window, and metal bars on the window as well. Now if only the construction people would finish already…
