The space shuttle Discovery, scheduled to land today, has been delayed
for at least a day due to bad weather. Normally, NASA will only land
the shuttle if there is at least 5 miles of visibility for the approach
to the runway and no rain, lightning or thunderstorms within 35 miles.
If the shuttle doesn’t land Tuesday or Wednesday, they could face
serious problems, as they only have fuel and supplies for a few days.
This is the first shuttle flight since the Columbia accident in 2003.
