Junior Year…

Another year is done and over with. So much happened during this year, it’s hard to sum it all up. But I’ll give it a try.

First semester was the first time I was not working a part time while in school, and it was great having a break from juggling between classes, work, and clubs. But, as a result, I devoted myself a whole lot more to IAG doing a lot of small things in the back. I took, what was quite possibly the best class in Stern during the fall; Negotiation and Consensus Building with Dean Blount-Lyon. I really liked this class because we got to do a lot of case studies. We did these cases in such a way that pretty much a good portion of each class session was spent negotiating with group members. By far, the best case of the house purchasing, where we played different roles such as the agents, the seller or the buyer and had to meet communicate outside of class time and close the deal. Great class, people should definitely take it if it fits in their schedule.

Another major event during the fall was that my brother proposed, and he is now engaged. The marriage is going to be this summer in India. I can’t wait for it; I get to spend about two weeks during the middle of summer in India, while all my friends are going to be stuck at work :-)

That’s all that really stood out during the fall semester; spring semester was awesome.

First off, I went to Korea for spring break on the ISP trip. This week in Korea was amazing, had so much fun, ate a whole lot of food, hung out with new friends, and had a great time overall. As far as classes, I learned the most in IP with Crocker. I don’t know how I’m going to do on in the class; I think it was worth taking simply because I learned so much compared to all my other classes. The most fun was Computers in Principle and Practice 2. Don’t take it if you don’t know programming (JavaScript and CGI). But I found it really easy, light and the teacher is hilarious.

On a more personal note, this year was crazier than the rest. The events of the year and people I’ve met have had an impact on me. It’s been a great year, and I’m looking forward to finishing up my finals, and finally getting a chance to relax, before starting work that is.
