Earlier tonight I watch Jersey Boys on Broadway; while not one of my favorite shows, it was very enjoyable. Its the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, their rags-to-riches story. The music was amazing, and the play was a lot of fun to watch, but I didn’t enjoy it for a couple of reasons. The first act started off really slow, but it picked up and reached a peak near the end of the first act. The second act was much slower and has less lively music in it. The pace of the play almost mirrored the pace of the band and their rise to stardom. Its a good play, but I’ve seen better.
