I watched The Lion King the other night on Broadway; it was a spectacular show. My brother got us front row center seats and they were amazing. The show itself was very good. I loved how the actors came off stage at times, at the start of the show, there was a procession of animals that came down through the orchestra section. The costumes were very well put together, made it very easy to imagine there were actual animals and not people. Overall, I enjoyed the show; not sure where it ranks in the shows that I’ve seen, but its up there in the top 5.
And here is an updated list of the Broadway shows I’ve seen (the ones that I remember):
- The King and I – Back in middle school
- Le Miserable – High School French class
- Man of La Mancha – part of orientation week at Stern
- Rent – Freshman year as a part of Stern Scholars
- Fiddler on the Roof – Stern Summit on Global Business
- Monthy Python’s Spamalot
- Wicked x2
- Sweeney Todd
- Jersey Boys
- One Man Star Wars
- The Lion King
